Bring an archived thread back into Messages
Open User Settings and expand Archived Chats. Find the conversation and select Unarchive to return it to Messages. This is worth checking when a familiar thread has disappeared from the main list: an archived conversation has not been permanently deleted.
Keeping another story in a separate thread can make the list easier to navigate. However, the visible history and stored continuity are not the same thing. Check the conversation's memory or lorebook if an old detail keeps resurfacing after you change threads.
Understand what a rewind removes
Premium and Ultimate include Time Travel through the clock control in the chat header. Select an earlier message and confirm to remove everything after that point permanently. The trash control within Time Travel resets the conversation. Editing an earlier sent message also removes subsequent messages.
For example, rewinding to before your characters leave a station lets you take another direction, but it does not keep the later journey as a recoverable branch. If you merely want the thread out of sight, archiving is the reversible option. A confirmed rewind or reset cannot be undone.
Review saved story information separately. A message deletion is not a reason to assume that every memory or shared lorebook entry has also changed.
Separate saved memories, account deletion and billing
In the older memory list, you can inspect or delete saved entries and change their importance. A lorebook has separate entry-editing controls. When several chats use the same companion book, a change affects each of them. Check that scope before removing a detail another storyline still needs.
To close the account permanently, open User Settings, find Account safety and choose Delete account. Review subscription status and the confirmation first. Our privacy policy says identifiers and chat history are removed, while transaction records remain for seven years and security or system logs for up to twelve months.
Deleting an account is not the same instruction as cancelling renewal. Handle subscription management separately, and contact support@secrets.ai if you need help choosing the correct account or data action.
Questions and answers
Where can I find the restore option for a chat?
Go to User Settings, expand Archived Chats and select Unarchive beside the conversation. It returns to the Messages list.
Will archiving erase the conversation?
No. An archive removes it from the main view and offers restoration. It is not a permanent deletion.
Can I recover messages removed through Time Travel?
No. Confirmed Time Travel rewinds and resets are permanent. Do not confuse those actions with the reversible Unarchive control.
Does closing my account also mean I have cancelled?
Treat them as separate actions. Cancellation stops subscription renewal; deletion closes the account and has its own data consequences.
