Decide whether to talk, create or watch
Choose a companion for an exchange you direct through messages. Reels offer a scenario opening when you would rather join a scene already underway. Secret Shorts follow episodes instead: talking to a cast companion does not change the episode sequence or unlock the next installment.
For a visual idea, use the Generation Studio to make an image or video. You could stage a fictional detective outside a rain-soaked station, then decide whether the image needs another attempt before animating it. Creating media is a separate action from continuing the chat.
Match the subscription to what you use
Our Free plan includes 20 messages per day. Premium and Ultimate include unlimited text messaging and monthly Moments. Those are separate allowances: unlimited messages do not cover an unlimited number of images, videos or calls.
Ultimate adds group chats, personas, S4, Max thinking and edits to an existing custom personality. Premium includes lorebooks and unlimited private text chat. Use Plan details to compare billing terms; an annual price expressed per month still requires payment for the year.
Give the conversation a useful trial
Try a small, connected exchange before starting an elaborate plot. Ask your companion to help plan a fictional journey, add a change of destination, and see how you prefer to correct or develop the reply. Our characters generate responses; they are not human conversation partners.

Add continuity and media deliberately
Memory can help carry a conversation forward, but it can miss or misstate events. Correct the important detail rather than treating an inconsistent reply as established history. Paid lorebooks let you organize facts; check which conversations share a book before changing it.
For media, look at the selected settings and Moments total before submitting. A larger image quantity or a different video model can change the charge. You can keep a story entirely in text if you do not need a visual for every scene.

Can I continue the same roleplay over several visits?
Yes. Return to its conversation and keep the premise consistent. Memory and lorebooks help with continuity, but correct mistakes when they appear rather than expecting flawless recall.
When does a paid plan make sense?
Consider one if the daily Free allowance is too small or you want eligible Moments-based features. Compare the actual tools you will use before choosing a longer billing term.
What would I need Ultimate for?
Choose Ultimate for personas, group chats, S4, Max thinking or editing an existing custom personality. You do not need Ultimate merely to get unlimited text messaging; Premium includes that too.
